Gold rates recorded a strong increase in both domestic and international bullion markets on Monday, with prices climbing significantly across major trading categories.
According to market data, the price of Gold per tola in the local market jumped by Rs4,600 to reach Rs477,762. The rate for 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs3,943, settling at Rs409,603.
In the international market, gold prices gained $46 per ounce, pushing the global rate to $4,554 per ounce.
Analysts attributed the latest movement in precious metal prices to ongoing developments linked to potential progress in negotiations between Iran and the United States, which also affected global oil markets and led to a decline in crude prices.
Meanwhile, Silver prices also registered an upward trend in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs236, taking the new rate to Rs8,270.
