PTI legal wing appoints new office-bearers in Shangla

Shangla  –  The provincial leadership of the Insaf Lawyers Forum (ILF), the legal wing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has announced new appointments for its district chapter in Shangla as part of efforts to strengthen and reorganise the party’s grassroots structure in the district.

Under the new appointments, Sadr Rehman Advocate has been named District President of the Insaf Lawyers Forum Shangla, while Mir Alam Khan Advocate has been appointed District General Secretary.

The appointments were announced by the provincial leadership of the forum in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as part of a wider reorganisation drive aimed at making the party’s legal wing more active and effective across the province.

The move was welcomed by PTI leaders and workers, members of the legal fraternity and representatives of various political and lawyers’ organisations, who congratulated both office-bearers and expressed confidence in their leadership.

Party workers described the appointments as recognition of merit, professional competence and longstanding organisational service.

On the occasion, members of the Insaf Lawyers Forum Shangla thanked Provincial President Ali Zaman Advocate and Provincial General Secretary Waqas Raza Khan Advocate for what they described as a fair and merit-based decision aimed at strengthening the party’s legal wing in the district.

Sadr Rehman Advocate is regarded as a prominent political and social figure in Shangla. He previously contested the general elections as a PTI candidate for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.

He belongs to an influential political family in the district and is the nephew of the late veteran politician, popularly known as “Baba-e-Shangla”, Haji Syed Farin Khan.

He is also the cousin of Tehsil Mayor Bisham Haji Sadeed-ur-Rehman and brother of senior PTI leader Habib-ur-Rehman Toofan. Political observers believe his appointment is likely to strengthen the party’s organisational structure and outreach in Shangla.

Meanwhile, newly appointed General Secretary Mir Alam Khan Advocate belongs to the Chakesar area of Shangla and comes from a respected political and social family.

He has previously held senior positions within the Insaf Lawyers Forum and is considered an experienced figure within the legal community.

Members of the forum expressed confidence that the newly appointed leadership would play an active role in safeguarding lawyers’ rights, promoting legal services and supporting the rule of law in the district.

Representatives of other political parties, civil society members and notable local figures also congratulated the newly elected office-bearers and expressed hope that they would continue serving the public with dedication and commitment.

Political analysts viewed the appointments as part of PTI’s broader efforts to reorganise and energise its affiliated wings ahead of upcoming political and organisational activity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
