Murree enforces Section 144, announces Eid traffic plan

The district administration in Murree has finalised special arrangements ahead of Eidul Azha as authorities prepare for a large influx of tourists from across the country during the holiday period.

According to officials, Section 144 has been imposed in the hill station throughout the Eid holidays to help maintain law and order, ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent any untoward incidents amid the expected rush of visitors.

The administration said facilitation centres had been established at multiple locations across the city to assist tourists and provide travel guidance during the busy holiday period.

Authorities added that more than 200 traffic wardens would be deployed in different parts of the city to manage traffic and minimise congestion.

As part of the special arrangements, entry of bachelor tourists on Mall Road has also been banned to provide a safer and more peaceful environment for families visiting the popular tourist destination during Eidul Azha.

Officials urged tourists to cooperate with local authorities and follow traffic advisories to ensure a safe and pleasant holiday experience in Murree.
