
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities to ensure strict security arrangements across the province during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays.
Chairing a meeting in Lahore, the chief minister ordered the installation of metal detectors and walk-through gates at Eid prayer congregations to strengthen security measures.
She also directed authorities to deploy patrolling teams and women police in markets on Chand Raat to ensure public safety and facilitate shoppers.
Maryam Nawaz further ordered strict action against one-wheeling, aerial firing and the public display of weapons during Eid days, reiterating the Punjab government’s commitment to maintaining law and order during the holidays.
