The Makkah Bus Guidance Center for Overseas Pilgrims announced the successful management and guidance of more than 41,000 buses transporting overseas pilgrims during Hajj 1447 AH.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the center implemented integrated operational plans to regulate transport flow and ensure pilgrims were smoothly transported from Makkah entry points to their accommodation sites across the city.
Guidance operations were carried out through trained field teams equipped with smart tablets linked to advanced geographic mapping systems.
SPA told APP that the digital system enabled real-time monitoring and tracking of buses from arrival points until pilgrims safely reached their residences.
Director General of the center Abdullah Sindi said the smart operational system was designed to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency in managing pilgrim transportation during the Hajj season.
The technology-driven guidance system forms part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to improve transport services and facilitate the smooth movement of millions of pilgrims during Hajj 1447 AH.
