LAHORE – Presidents of 31 out of 38 clubs of Model Town Zone participated in a key meeting and expressing full confidence in the Khawaja Nadeem Grou, ahead of the Lahore Region Cricket Association (LRCA) Elections 2026. The meeting, chaired by LRCA President Kh Nadeem, also featured unanimous nominations for key Model Town Zone positions. Malik Imran Bucha was nominated for president, Afzal Ahmed for secretary, and Chaudhry Ramzan Ali for treasurer. Addressing the gathering, Kh Nadeem praised the PCB’s decision to divide Lahore Region into five zones, calling it an important step for improving cricket administration and promoting club cricket and emerging talent. The nominated office-bearers pledged to work for the development of cricket in the zone with transparency, unity and merit. Former Pakistan cricket team manager Azhar Hussain Zaidi and West Zone President Sardar Noshad Ahmed also congratulated the nominees and urged them to focus on the promotion of cricket beyond political differences.
Participants at the meeting paid tribute to Kh Nadeem’s contributions to Lahore cricket and reiterated their continued support for his leadership.
