
LAHORE – Pakistan Air Force (PAF) emerged title winners in the Bank Alfalah 55th National Men’s Volleyball Championship 2026 after defeating Pakistan Navy in a thrilling grand final at the POF Sports Complex, Wah Cantt, on Saturday.
Organised by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) in collaboration with Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), the six-day championship brought together the country’s leading departmental and provincial volleyball teams. The championship concluded with an electrifying final between two of Pakistan’s strongest volleyball sides, as PAF staged an impressive comeback to defeat Navy 3-1.
Navy began the match strongly and claimed the opening set 25-16 with disciplined defence and sharp attacking combinations, putting early pressure on their opponents. However, PAF responded in dominant fashion, showcasing exceptional teamwork, disciplined blocking and powerful serving to seize control of the contest. The PAF won the next three sets 25-21, 25-21 and 25-18 to secure the national title.
The final was widely praised by volleyball enthusiasts and officials for its high competitive standard and vibrant atmosphere, with fans witnessing one of the most entertaining matches of the championship. Earlier in the day, WAPDA secured the bronze medal after defeating Army 3-1 in the third-position match. WAPDA won by 25-19, 25-15, 24-26, 25-17.
With the conclusion of the tournament, Pakistan Air Force claimed the gold medal as national champions, while Pakistan Navy finished runners-up with the silver medal. WAPDA completed the podium places by securing the bronze medal after an impressive campaign.
