Peshawar – A man allegedly shot dead his nephew following a verbal dispute in the Tangi area of Charsadda district on Sunday, police said.
According to police, the incident occurred in Ijara Dar Killi within the jurisdiction of Tangi Police Station.
Officials said what began as an exchange of words escalated into violence when the suspect allegedly opened fire on his nephew. The victim, identified as Bilal, was shot outside his house in the presence of his father, Sher Ali, and died on the spot, police said.
Preliminary investigations suggest the dispute may have been linked to financial matters, although police said inquiries were under way from multiple angles to establish the exact motive behind the killing. A case has been registered and police have launched raids to arrest the suspect, who fled after the incident.
