Cantt Zone candidates pledge transparency, revival of club cricket

LAHORE   –   The nominated office-bearers of the Khawaja Nadeem Group for the Cantt Zone of Lahore Region Cricket Association (LRCA) have pledged to strengthen club cricket, ensure transparent governance, and promote a professional cricket culture within the zone. During a joint media interaction, presidential candidate Syed Mashhood Hussain Shirazi said the group aimed to revitalize club cricket by providing equal respect, representation, and opportunities to all clubs and organisers. He said the vision of Kh Nadeem, based on merit and transparency, would guide efforts to expand cricket activities and create better opportunities for young players across Cantt Zone. Secretary nominee Mirza Azmat Baig said his focus would be on building a cooperative and trustworthy environment among clubs, organisers, and players through collective consultation and effective coordination. Meanwhile, treasurer nominee Aftab Anwar Khan pledged to maintain a transparent and constitution-based financial system.  The nominees expressed confidence that Cantt Zone would emerge as one of the most organised cricket zones in Lahore. The LRCA elections are expected next month.
