Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Sunday visited the site of the Red Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in Karachi to review the progress of ongoing construction work.
During the visit, the chief minister directed the Transport Department to expedite work on the mixed traffic corridor, drainage infrastructure and utility shifting to ensure the project’s timely completion.
He instructed officials concerned to maintain the pace of construction activities and complete patchwork on the mixed traffic road at the earliest.
Mr Shah said Karachi’s residents deserved modern and environmentally friendly public transport facilities, adding that the Red Line BRT project would help improve the city’s transport system.
The chief minister also stressed the need to maintain high construction standards and directed authorities to ensure effective traffic management during the ongoing work.
