Jimmy Kimmel has taken a jab at the White House’s proposal for President Donald Trump to play the next James Bond.

On Sunday, May 17, the White House posted a picture of Trump depicting James Bond, a famous protagonist of the James Bond series, on X (formerly Twitter). The picture showed him in a Bond-esque tuxedo, holding a silenced handgun with a caption that read, “Make America Great Again.”

Notably, the post came after Amazon MGM Studios announced that “the search for the next James Bond is underway.”

Reacting to the Oval Office’s hilarious suggestion, Kimmel, during his Monday, May 18 show’s monologue, said, “The White House jumped on the crazy train and posted this, suggesting that Trump would be the next James Bond.”

“Grab ’em by the Octopussy, we got a new James Bond in town!” the 58-year-old American television host and comedian jokingly added.

“I think 007 is his approval rating right now. Imagine a very unpopular president, in the middle of a very unpopular war, the cost of everything is skyrocketing, gas is very expensive and you are spending your time posting online about how hot you are, how you captured an alien and how you should be the next James Bond,” he, the Crank Yankers star, criticized.

It is pertinent to mention that Jimmy Kimmel alluded to Trump’s latest posts on Truth Social, as he shared a doctored image of himself with a handcuffed alien.
