Sindh and Karachi basketball bodies honour Hassan Naqvi



LAHORE  –  Sindh Basketball Association (SBBA) and Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) honoured Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi with the Performance Award for Services to the Martyrs of Pakistan Armed Forces in recognition of his efforts in organising and supporting large-scale ‘Maarka-e-Haq’ tribute events in Karachi. The award was presented by Sindh and Karachi Basketball Associations President Ghulam Abbas Jamal Chaudhry. The ceremony was attended by several prominent sports personalities and officials, including sports patron Humayun Saleem, Shahid Mahmood Khan, PD Naseem Ahmed Bhutto, ACK Asadullah Khoso, Director Sports Ghulam Muhammad Khan, and Rotarian Sheikh Aqeel Ahmed.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Karachi Hassan Naqvi thanked the organisers, particularly the basketball associations, for the honour and appreciation.He said the entire Pakistani nation stands firmly alongside the armed forces and praised the sacrifices and services rendered by Pakistan’s military leadership and personnel for the country’s security and stability.“The people of Pakistan stand united with the armed forces like a solid wall,” he said, adding that the services and sacrifices rendered for the country would always be remembered. The Commissioner Karachialso expressed confidence that the armed forces would continue making every possible sacrifice for the protection and progress of Pakistan, while the nation would remain fully supportive of them.During the ceremony, patriotic slogans in support of Pakistan and the armed forces were raised by participants, creating an emotional and spirited atmosphere.

Director Sports Ghulam Muhammad Khan offered a special prayer for the martyrs of the armed forces, national peace, and the prosperity and security of Pakistan.On the occasion, sports patron Shahid Mahmood Khan also presented Commissioner Karachi Hassan Naqvi with a traditional Sindhi Ajrak on behalf of himself and Yousuf Pakistani as a cultural gesture of appreciation.
