Pensioners thank PSB for releasing April pensions before Eid

Kyrgyzstan’s int’l reserves exceed $9b

ISLAMABAD   –   Pensioners of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) have thanked the board and the IPC Ministry after the release of delayed pension payments for April ahead of Eid-ul-Adha. The pension payments had been delayed due to technical and administrative reasons, causing concern among retired employees and their families. Earlier, a delegation of PSB pensioners had met former DG Yasir Pirzada regarding the issue, but the matter remained unresolved. Following the appointment of Mohiuddin Wani as Acting DG, a delegation of retired pensioners met him on May 20 and submitted a request for immediate release of pensions. During the meeting, Wani assured the delegation that every effort would be made to clear the pending payments before Eid-ul-Adha and after continuous follow-up, the PSB has issued orders for the release of April pensions. The pensioners expressed gratitude to Mr. Wani for resolving the issue and ensuring timely payments before Eid.
