LAHORE – Preparations for the Lahore Region Cricket Association (LRCA) elections gathered momentum as leading cricket organisers and club officials from Model Town Zone held a consultative dinner meeting to finalise their election strategy. At a dinner, hosted by Model Greens Cricket Club President Shoaib Dar, to gather prominent figures from Lahore cricket, who discussed plans for the upcoming elections and pledged to jointly contest the polls. Among those present were former East Zone CA President Bilal Muqeet, former LRCA chief Shareiz Abdullah Khan Rokhri, Wasif Zaman, Shahbaz Ali, Nadeem Ahmed, Khurram Hafeez, Aftab Dar, Sohail Dar, Shahid Ghafoor and Amjad Ali.
Participants expressed their commitment to restoring the standard and reputation of Lahore cricket, promising to work collectively for the betterment of players and cricket organisers.
Wasif Zaman announced that the group would field candidates in all zones and confirmed the launch of their election campaign from Model Town Zone, where Shoaib Dar will contest for the presidency.
Bilal Muqeet said the group had entered the election race to restore the dignity of cricket organisers and protect players’ rights, while Shah Riez Rokhri reiterated their commitment to the promotion and revival of cricket across Lahore.
