
Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz extended warm Eidul Azha greetings to the nation and the Muslim Ummah, saying the religious festival promotes the values of sacrifice, compassion, love and humanity.
In her Eid message, Maryam Nawaz said every Muslim who follows the great Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) by offering sacrifice deserves appreciation and respect. She said Eidul Azha teaches believers to put aside personal desires for the sake of Allah’s pleasure and encourages people to include underprivileged communities in the celebrations.
The Punjab chief minister also paid tribute to personnel of Pakistan’s armed forces serving on the country’s borders, saying the nation would always honour the sacrifices and dedication of its brave soldiers.
She further appreciated officers and workers involved in cleanliness campaigns and public service duties during the Eid holidays, praising their commitment and hard work.
Maryam Nawaz also expressed solidarity with the families of martyrs and said the nation remains grateful for the sacrifices made by martyrs and their loved ones.
In her message, she also paid tribute to those who lost their lives due to Israeli aggression, including young female students, and urged the international community to raise its voice in support of oppressed people around the world.
